Weekly Plans

Spelling: The next spelling test will be Friday, January 23^rd.  As a reminder, 3^rd nine weeks spelling words and sentences will be graded. Please practice writing sentences with your child. There are examples of dictation sentences on the homework sheet.

 Words are: bark, cart, farm, park, shark, star, help, helped, plan, planned, what, when

* Please use correct letter formation on spelling homework.

 

 

Reading: We will learn about the r-controlled /ar/ like in part.  Our reading skill will be plot. Our grammar skill will be root words and verbs from present and the past. For example: Help (root word and present tense verb) and helped (past tense).

High-Frequency words: live, very, back, give, most, me, after, thing, our, just

Math: Students will learn about comparing two-digit numbers with the greater than (>), less than (<), and equal (=) to symbols.

For example 45 (4 tens and 5 ones) < 89 (8 tens and nine ones).

 

Social Science: We will be discussing winter animals.
