Spelling: Our next spelling test will
be on Friday, March 21st.
Words: brown, clown, cow, crowd,

Reading: We will learn about the
diphthong ow /ou/ as in town. We will learn about words with 2 syllables that
end with a constant plus -le like in saddle. Our reading skill will be story
mapping. Our grammar skill will learning about sentences that are commands. These
sentences are called imperative sentences; students will need to know this.
High-Frequency Words: set, put, end, does, another, well, large,
must, big, even
Math: Our focus will be measuring the length of
various items. We will measure with non-standard units of measurement
(paperclips, cubes, pennies, etc) and standard units of measurement (ruler). Please
send in 1 item we could use in our measurement collection (such as popcorn or
cereal box. baby doll shoe, etc.)
