Weekly Plans
Spelling: The next spelling test
will be January 17th. Please remember that spelling words and
dictation sentences will be graded this nine weeks.
Words are: bark,
cart, farm, park, shark, start, star, yard, jar, charm, other, because
* Please use correct
letter formation on spelling homework.
Reading: We will also learn about
contractions:‘s as in that’s, ‘ve as in we’ve, and ‘re
as in they’re.
We will also learn about the r-controlled /ar/ like in part. Our reading skill will be plot. Our grammar
skill will be verbs from present and the past.
High-Frequency
words are: people, write, more, water, about, would
Math: We will continue to learn
about place value. We will also learn about the symbols for greater than, less
than, and equal to. Pease review with
your child at home how to count to 100 by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s.
Social
Science:
We will be learning about arctic animals.
