• Reading Comprehension: realism/fantasy, cause/effect, author’s purpose, sequence, compare/contrast
• Phonics: long a, long i, long o, long u, long e/ee
• Grammar: proper nouns, special titles, days/months/holidays, one/more than one, nouns in a sentence
*Students will : Begin Unit 3
• blend, segment, decode, write & spell words with long e and long i: y
• read with comprehension and identify Compare/Contrast
• Introduce action verbs
• read simple HF words, simple sentences and passages
• write simple sentences
Math: CC.1G.1-2 – ALCOS 19-20
Students will:
• Complete calendar activities, spiral review, daily data & problem of the day
• Distinguish between defining attributes versus non-defining attributes
