Supply
List for the 2015-2016 school year has been posted on the CES website. Your
child’s teacher for next year will also have an additional supply list.
·
PLEASE READ “Going to the Market” every night. This is the
LAST passage for the year. Your child MUST reach the goal of read 60 words
per minute. This passage will be tested the week of May the 4th. Please
remember to pause at the commas, stop at periods, use intonation, and
appropriate phasing.
·
Please
only send cash to school now because checks are no longer accepted. We can’t
make change at the school. Please send the CORRECT amount for fees, lunch and
snack. Breakfast and lunch can be paid for by the week.
·
PLEASE
make sure your child has tennis shoes to wear for PE.

Appreciation Week May 4th-8th.

Last day to check on books is May 6th.
All library books are due on Thursday, May 7th.

100 book celebration will be
Thursday, May 7th.

First Grade Blue Pod “Fun Day” is
Thursday, May 7th. Please send $10.00 (Cash Only) and your assigned
item.
·
May 13th is field day
from 9:15-9:45.
·
May 14th will be Awards
Day for 1st grade blue pod. 9:15 to 10:15 will be in the gym and
10:15 to 11:15 will be classroom celebrations. Please return your reservations
for Honor’s Day ASAP.
·
PTO will have a movie night on
Friday, May 15.
·
Last day of school is May 21st.
Report cards will go home on that day.

·
When reading with your child, PLEASE assist them only. Please
do not read the passage or story to them. We are trying to build their
independence in reading.
·
Please save and send in Box
Tops, Campbell Soup labels, and Tyson labels.
·
Your child SHOULD BRING BACK
THEIR BOOKBAG, AR FOLDER, LIBRARY BOOK, and FISH NOTEBOOK. FISH notebooks are
our way to communicate with you. It is you and your child’s responsibility to
return DAILY!

If
you would like to walk your child in the school in the morning. YOU MUST park
to the right of the school. This is the grassy area to the right of the school.
If you choose to park in the grassy area, YOU MUST walk on the sidewalk.
·
All
important dates for school are on the Coosada website. The website is http://coosada.ece.schoolinsites.com/.
·
If
your child is absent from school, a WRITTEN note must be sent within 3 days.
The note should state the reason your child was absent (Ex. My child had a
headache). Make-up work cannot be given without an excuse.
·
If
anytime during the year school is delayed, we will start receiving children 30
minutes prior to announced time
