Spelling: The next spelling test
will be Friday, February 20th. As a
reminder, 3rd nine weeks spelling words and sentences will be graded. Please practice writing sentences
with your child. There are examples of dictation sentences on the
homework sheet.
Words

* Please use correct letter
formation on spelling homework.
Reading: We will learn about /ea/
as in sea. We will also learn to change
the y to i before adding inflected endings to a word. Our reading skill will be
to learn about themes from the story and drawing information out of a story.
Our grammar skill will be to learn about conjunctions to combine sentences such
as and, also, but, so, and because.
High-Frequency words: Review all words in FISH notebook.
Math: We will learn about
geometry. For example: How many sides and vertices are on a triangle? (3) How
many sides and vertices are on a square? (4)
Social
Science:
We are learning about dental health.
