Lesson Plans for Feb. 3-7


Weekly Plans

Spelling: The next spelling test will be January 31st. Please remember that spelling words and dictation sentences will be graded this nine weeks.

Words: bigger, biggest, faster, fastest, slower, slowest, shorter, shortest, sadder, saddest, many, these

Please use correct letter formation on spelling homework.

 

 

Reading: We will learn about comparative endings –er and –est and /dge/ as in fudge. 

We use –er when comparing two things and –est when comparing three or more things.

 Our reading skill will be to learn about the sequence of a story.

Our grammar skill is to learn about adjectives.

High-Frequency words are: name, good, sentence, man, think, say, great, where, help, through

 

Math: We will continue to learn about place value. Students need to understand that 14 is 1 ten 4 ones and 10+4. We will continue to practice working on knowing simple addition and subtraction facts.

 

Social Science: We will be doing 100th day activities.
