Weekly Plans
Spelling: We will not have any new
spelling words this week. As a reminder, 3rd nine weeks spelling
words and sentences will be graded.
Please practice writing sentences with your child. There are examples of
dictation sentences on the homework sheet.
Reading: This week will be a review
of previous skills taught. We will be giving a pre-test in reading. This is
not a test that will be recorded in the grade book. This test indicates which
skills your child knows and what should be reinforced for this nine weeks.
Math: We will also be giving a
pre-test in math. We will begin to learn about place value. Students will learn
that 23 has 2 tens and 3 ones or that 55 has 5 tens and 5 ones.
Social
Science:
We will be discussing goal setting for the New Year.
