Weekly Plans

Spelling: The next spelling test will be February 28^th.

Remember 3^rd nine weeks dictation sentences will be graded. Practice!!!

Words are: boat, road, snow, row, yellow, loaf, coat, soap, blow, pillow, will, write

 

* Please use correct letter formation on spelling homework

 

Reading: We will learn about long o /oa/ as in boat and /ow/ as in snow.  We will also learn about 3 letter blends as in scream. Our reading skill is learning about author’s purpose for writing a story.  Our grammar skill will be to learn about using conjunctions (and, because, but) in a sentence. For example: I went to the store and the park.

High-Frequency words:  Please practice the list in your child’s FISH notebook.

 

Math: We will review place value, 2 digit addition and subtraction for our math unit test.

 

 

Social Science: We are learning about famous Americans. Don’t forget about your famous American project which is due on February 28th. Please have your child dressed as their assigned famous American.
