Spelling: The next spelling test will be October 24th.
The spelling words WILL BE GRADED. DICTATION sentences will still be given for
practice.
Words are: face, made, age, safe, take, make, cage,
cake, late, name, his, this
Reading: Our story is The Farmer
in the Hat. Students will learn about long /a/ as in name and the soft c
/s/ like in face and soft g /j/ as in cage.
In our story we will learn about cause and effect. Our grammar skill is
to learn about proper nouns.
High-Frequency words: some,
would, like, into, has, her, make, him, time, look
High-Frequency words:
Math: We will learn about related facts like: 3+4=7
and 7-4=3. We will also continue to learn about decomposing numbers
(subtracting) through using pictures and the number line.
Social Science: We will learn about spiders. If you have any
